Challenges & Competitions
Join the crew in challenges, competitions, and friendly contests happening throughout STARFLEET.
When Intrepid shows up, we represent more than ourselves. Our participation represents both the USS Intrepid and our home in STARFLEET Region 13.
Our Current Challenges
Intrepid currently participates as a chapter in two ongoing challenges organized by STARFLEET Medical.
Permanent Step Challenge
STARFLEET Medical’s ongoing Step Challenge encourages members across the Fleet to get moving while contributing to some friendly competition between STARFLEET Regions.
Intrepid crew members can submit their steps each month, which are added to the wider results and help contribute toward Region 13’s Fleet-wide standing.
Whether you’re going for a dedicated walk, hitting the trails, wandering around a convention, or simply recording the steps of everyday life, it all adds up.
Monthly Reading Challenge
STARFLEET Medical’s Monthly Reading Challenge encourages members to keep track of their reading and contribute their pages toward a Fleet-wide challenge.
Books aren’t the only things that count. A variety of reading materials can qualify, and special themes and opportunities for bonus page counts may be offered throughout the year.
Intrepid makes participation easy by coordinating our crew’s submissions internally before they are forwarded to STARFLEET Medical.
Whether you’re exploring a Star Trek novel, studying a STARFLEET Fandom Academy manual, diving into a graphic novel, or settling in with your latest favourite book, those pages can help Intrepid and Region 13.
How Do I Participate?
We’ve intentionally kept the detailed instructions off this page so that our crew always has access to the most current reporting information, deadlines, links, and challenge rules.
Current participation instructions, reporting links, deadlines, reminders, and challenge updates are maintained there for the crew.
If you’re unsure about something, just ask. Our crew and department leadership can help point you in the right direction.
Participate when you can. Support your crew. Represent your Region.
Every step, every page, and every challenge is another way to show up for Intrepid and Region 13.
